View Full Version : using projections to texture dynamics...

I can assign a file texture to a surface to control things like bump strength, thickness, emission rate, etc.

however if i do the same thing with a projected texture, this doesnt work!

also, i cant use 3D textures or other procedurals either... is there a way to fix this? also why isnt this working out of the box? I have run across many setups that were thwarted by this lack of basic functionality...

edit... got collisions working by connecting a luminance node... but emissions still dont work, especially from procedural nodes, such as distance based ramps, 3d noise, etc.
