View Full Version : Displacement mapped character renders blurred

I am rendering a character with a displacment map from Mudbox. However, compared to the Mudbox viewport, mental-ray render appears as if it is (Gaussian) blurred...

The sculpted details are there, but no matter what I do (such as adjusting anti-aliasing levels or preview render quality level), the render seems somewhat blurred.

Does anyone know a way to enhance detail quality from a displacment map?

what resolution were the maps exported from mudbox?
