hi everybody...

here my first sketch... but i have no clue about the body or the direction i like to go...

nice.ive got a lot of tips from you on mudbox over at cgF, and now to find you in on this challenge is insane! :D

That`s amazing... looks super fun too. I watched your other youtube videos and got interested on sculpting and painting on 3d :P

I would also like to join this challenge, I dont really have much expirience on 3d and that challenge would be perfect to get me started (with deadline and all) :D

Its just shame mudbox didn`t work on my laptop... Crashes on start :(

Actually I think it might be something to do with that... I really thought it was my sucky 3d-card.

I will install it once more and try it out.. thanks!! lets see what happens.. wish me luck ;)

btw, just realized that link was for a mac, for windows, just delete the mudbox folder inside your Documents folder. ;)

Cool model so far.
The stomach area seems a little bit to small compared to te massive body around.

good Oglu, so good. Imho the face is too thin for his body, a bit of massive proportions.

I like the back because it's relaxed. The front torso view looks so tense.

hej oglu, your monsterguy is coming really nice.

have some suggestions:

his legs seem a little bit too long, his head too small(but that you know already). and i think his legs must be bigger!

his belly area can be a little bit longer and i would make the neckmuscles-shoulder connection rounder.

keep going!

Great model oglu! I wisch i could be on the same step, still have to finisch my head sculpting. The only thing i have to complain about is the relatively smal head.

after a bad maya crash i lost the new retopo of his hand...
and a whispering voice in my brain told me i have to make an other skull...

You're fast! Your concept looks massive and dangerous, the only thing that bothers me a little are the super massive arms. Of course, it's a stylized decision, but it feels that he can barely move the arms (but when he does, he crushes).

Too bad the maya crash, it's the thing with computers... do you the retopo with a plugin?

the general look of this pair, in combination with the red skin tone looks fantastic. And this little skull.. Nice.

first texture tests on the axe...

painting 3 different objects with 3 different shader at the same time...
all 2k maps..

sculpted the a goat pelvic bone for his back... he will use it to carry heavy gear...

I like the idea of the bone as well! I was just wondering... considering the size of your creature, must this not be a really big goat that belong to the bone on the giants back?

the cave is a nice idea! with the secret and the mysterious fog ... but why does he looks into the camera? there are those little trolls behind him, the secret in front of him.

Nice Oglu, you're showing a really high average quality on all your videos and images.
If the final images shares this quality, it's gonna look great.

The staircase did impress me more than your past videos, it looks so real and natural.

Hey oglu very nice stuff, i liked the videos.

I cant understand how you did the retopology. It must have been rather hard to do since your working with so many polys :bowdown: .

My only criticism is that I still think that the pose is a little weak; it makes him look rather meek.

very nice texturing and sculpting on the stairs though :applause:

Nice sculpting, can't wait to see final detailing like veins and skin distortions. I think you need to define the muscle strings a bit better, that could be nice.

Looking forward seeing this guy finished - it's coming great! One issue concerning the elbows and the lower arm: imho the muscles are way to big to bend the joint properly as shown in the light test. Your warrior has to struggle a lot to bend his arms:)
But this is a matter of personal taste - i didn't like hulk either...too massive to be roughly realistic

its working only with quad meshes...
mud 2013 has tri and ngon support...

Fantastic Oglu, watching all the details and the weapons, you can really see that everything is working together. I like the pose and the colours. It is a really good entry. I love it! because you can feel his weight and that is quite difficult in digital modelling.
