Hi, was wondering if there was a plan to support XSI with future versions of Messiah or maybe via a plugin ?!?

really interested to try it out

I would like an XSI connexion too :rolleyes:

I like the XSI tools but I prefer the simplicity of a messiah rig.

Please pmg, do you think it's possible to develop a connexion soon :cry:

it was in the feature list of sommer 2000:

1. "an even faster interface"

We have been getting more requests for XSI support, lately. We were planning to release our HOST API, that would make it easy for anyone to write a messiah connection for virtually anything that has a (3D) plugin architecture. It's very easy to use, and you'll find that the most difficult part is dealing with your host app's API.

We've held off on releasing HOST API, just yet, in order to iron out a few issues. After we do the release, we're willing to work directly with developers to create the XSI connection (it will go much quicker if we work with programmers who already understand the XSI API).

We'll keep you posted...


ps: our HOST API was used to create *all* of the current connections.

Sorry to dredge this old post, but I want to cast my vote for XSI support, as well. I'm very seriously looking for the money to purchase XSI, and I wanted my opinion to be known. Thanks.

We'll be releasing our Host API that will allow for the developement of an XSI connection. Since the API is so easy to use, I have no doubt that someone will be able to develop one rather quickly.
