I would like an XSI connexion too

I like the XSI tools but I prefer the simplicity of a messiah rig.

Please pmg, do you think it's possible to develop a connexion soon

it was in the feature list of sommer 2000:

1. "an even faster interface"

2. "support and enhance MAYA, 3D StudioMAX, Softimage XSI and LightWave."

3. "A customizable interface will allow users to resize windows and easily
change arrangements of control blocks, buttons and sliders."

4. "The new SDK (Software Development Kit) will allow developers to create
their own effects and applications that work with, and talk to, messiah."

5. "Expanding on messiah's powerful motion blending tools, a new Non-Linear
Animation Editor greatly enhances the program's MotionClip™ technology."

6. "In addition, messiah:animate will also provides support for Renderman
RIB files"

7. "and will enable users to write scripts that are just as powerful as
compiled plug-ins."

8. "Another exciting new addition is messiah:animate's Real-time Particle
System, controllable through the program's expressions engine. Used in
conjunction with messiah's new ForceHandlers™ system, particles react in
real-time to user animatable forces, gravity and wind effects."

An XSI connection or just the ability to export to dotXSI would really make my day.

Lyle???????? Any chances?

We have been getting more requests for XSI support, lately. We were planning to release our HOST API, that would make it easy for anyone to write a messiah connection for virtually anything that has a (3D) plugin architecture. It's very easy to use, and you'll find that the most difficult part is dealing with your host app's API.

We've held off on releasing HOST API, just yet, in order to iron out a few issues. After we do the release, we're willing to work directly with developers to create the XSI connection (it will go much quicker if we work with programmers who already understand the XSI API).

We'll keep you posted...

ps: our HOST API was used to create *all* of the current connections.

Sorry to dredge this old post, but I want to cast my vote for XSI support, as well. I'm very seriously looking for the money to purchase XSI, and I wanted my opinion to be known. Thanks.

I thought I'd bump this up and add my vote to it, too. XSI support would be great.

We'll be releasing our Host API that will allow for the developement of an XSI connection. Since the API is so easy to use, I have no doubt that someone will be able to develop one rather quickly.
