View Full Version : IES Light Output Readings

I'd love to be able to use C4D to do photometrics. Does anyone know if there's any way to get actual light output readings - in footcandles or LUX, on floor or surfaces when using lights with IES data?

The only directly available method to measure light intensity i know of is the plight node in Thinking Particles. It does not relate to a real unit though.

Thanks. Right now I'm using a plugin for SketchUp called LightUp that actually works pretty well, but I'm just not crazy about working in SketchUp - whereas I love C4D. Seems like it wouldn't be big step to add readings since the data is already being utilized to create light patterns. Might be something for Maxon to add in future versions?
