Heres a model I worked on for (
In 3ds Max5

wow, really awsome. modeling and renders are looking great, but the sedan looks ugly. tell them not to sell it :D

looks like the opel corsa chasis.

Looks great. Nothing to complain about. Geometry looks incredible.

Looks great !

last pic shows some distortion in the mesh just behind back door ! nice work though :applause:

yeah its definetly in the opel corsa kind of family, I mean.. Vauxhall..

and GM own vauxhal/opell.. etc. etc.

thats some really beuatiful stuff, your car modeling is top notch :) I especially like the shader work btw. What do you use for a reflection map?

My only crit would be that the rear wheel on the 3 door pic has nothing behind the hub cap which seems a bit odd, like the wheel isn't attached to anything (seeing the floor behind it throws it off)

other than that, its immaculate work. I'd love to see your cage or some other in-progress pics :D

*edit* the link to your website is messed up btw

Very good detail!

please render the dashboard closeup !

i really like it .. you should try modeling the new lotus elise ..IT IS PAIN  ..we had to model it for one of our school projects its been almost two weeks now and it doent look really good ... but what you have up there is tight and looks right

..keep it up

11-13-2003, 06:19 AM
oh ya and the reason why we coundnt get model good is because our instructor doesnt allow us to use ANY TRIM TOOL because he says it messes up the mesh if you con ver it to poly.. damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn..:)

Great work! i like it!

there is a bit of distrotion in the model near the back door.

go on!

jesus funk.

you are getting better every day.

only thing i would have to crit is that the pics are a bit too yellow.

and that both your links in your original post dont work for me. ;)

garlic bread?

11-13-2003, 10:04 PM

11-13-2003, 10:24 PM
and the peddles? the door mesh on the sedan (highlight strip) looks a little funny. Other than that, great modeling and rendering fantastic work. great stuff

just thought getting rid of the yellow would make the pics more realistic...

quick cc if i may..

u noe ?

Nah, that yellow one was pretty ok.
I dont understand why people model that kinda cars?
I can see that the guy got some skills, and he modeled that piece of sh*t car? I just cant get it. I have no interest of looking at that car even in real life.
But, disregarding what ive just said, you need to get some better reflections for that kinda car, and the tires dont look like they should. Other than that, its a good model, but a bad car.

Looks great but could you post some wires of the body of the car. There are areas on the body that might have an mesh erros or something.

Ohh. I saw the wires. They are very clean . Maybe my eyes are falling me. You shoud try rendering the car in more hi-rez and use a higer sampling rate for gi and AA. :p

I love the first picture!!!!

cheers for the comments people

alright stimp, I see you point ;)

TheShaddix - it wasnt my choice of car I was asked to do it.

edit : uh-oh looks like my site is down temp

11-15-2003, 06:43 PM
Is it just me or does that chevy look a lot like a vw golf?
I think the modeling is very well done. Good job

Just wanted to ask did you use the 3dsmax5 default renderer or are you all guys using some other and better renderer. Just rendered today 1600x1200 size picture with max default renderer and it took 5hours 35minutes 12seconds :(.

11-15-2003, 07:54 PM
Donīt get any better then that.
