Hi all,

I need some tips/tuts on removing noise from captured video frame in photoshop.
It is low quality vhs shot, already tried with median, blur etc. couldn't get satisfying results ...

Thanx :)

Ey cool, they just added a "before posting read this" field

Anyway, could you post an example? Every kind of noise needs it's own treatment. I have a few books here about that subject, I can look it up for ya. DId you try gaussian? Sometimes it's very helpful.

Either try using Smart Blur/Sharpen combo or get Grain Surgery plugin which will allow you to remove grain.

If you look at the channels individually you may be able to isolate the noisiest one (usually blue with digital camera's) and treat it more heavily than the others which you can retain for detail.
