Hi there
How the hell do you speed up the flicks in combustion2?
Im new with it so, help is very welcome.

if you are doing RAM preview, try changing to colour only, no alpha. That will change the images from 32 bit to 24 bit & make it playback faster. Also you could 'comit to disk' complex operators occasionally, that helps speed things up. you could look at using low resolution proxies to work on that can spped up things a bit too. Have a look at how much ram combustion is set to use in the preferences, the more ram, the more ram you have for cache the faster things should go. :)

Ah nuts! that would be under the footage controls - you can change the speed there huh? :blush: Now, does anyone want to know how to speed up RAM playback LOL :bounce:

Dont forget the option to use openGL for playback
The workspace is cached in Texture Ram before it hits sytem ram
the playback of some effects is a bit faster :thumbsup:
128mb video cards are what we use here ;)

oh and to keep this thread on track Re:visions Twixtor works great in C2
