Hey thanks...actually, I have a model gun AK that is pretty acurrate, so I'm just using that. There are soooooo many variations of AK's, so I'm just sticking with mine. Thanks a lot though. Tis a good pic, I may actually use it some anyways...

how exactly did that take an hour? :hmm:

It needs a LOT of work, do use weapon pics like icemilk posted and put it in the side viewpoint so you can match up were everthing goes.
I've modeled guns the last 3 years, it takes a lot of practice to get it right. Go take a look at lonewolf's and firegold's posts under finished work. www.planetfortress.com/tf2models/ that site should help you, has any tutorials on modeling guns.

Google image search would be your best friend if you wanna model rl guns. Try to get pictures from the side as well as perspective shots.
Also, a lot of your edges need bevels, too boxy now.

wow, you are so supportive! Well, how did this take an hour? Its my second month of 3d, I was doing some homework, I was in a chat, and it was 12:00 AM. This is my second or third gun model, I didn't have good references, as I was just doing this for fun. A lot of the time I spent was shaving polygons here and there. Really discouraging man.
Thanks for link, though. I have better pics coming... this is just a rough version, without details.
