Hi! :)

My friends and I at a Polish post-production studio have created a short animation and we would like hear your opinion. I must admit that the connection speed maybe slow and if there is anyone out ther who is willing to help mirror our web page, we would be most greatfull. -The Misio Web Page- (

Thanks :D!!

Great to hear that you guys liked it! Yes, it was rather quiet for a while and I was worried that the "Misio" was not up to par with the rest. The whole thing was rendered and animated in LightWave. Digital Fusion is the tools we used for compositing. What was being said in the background was "cisza na planie", which means in Polish "quiet on the set". We did make an English version of this animation, but the voice-over was rather embarrassing .

Here is a screenshot of the work in progress. The model was rather simple ,but there were problems. His feet were too short and his arms were rather stiff. All this was nicely hidden under his thick fur J. The animation was created to persuade our clients that we are capable of making a fairytale (but yet life like) scenery. We made fun of the film making process in this animation, like the blue-box in the background and the hanging trees that drops down from no where.

Many thanks Nostradamus, will get in contact with you soon.

okay. 258 and 2 replies?

THAT WAS SHIT AWESOME. Great animation. Fantastic modelling - great fur on a funny character - The motion was excellent as well - I loved it when he stomped on that cigarette and the landscape changed - very tongue in cheek, almost but not.. shreky. The humour is also suitably adult - that magazine he was reading... LOL I could ramble but I think you guys are on to a good thing. keep up the good work!

:wip:

Well done,
I think you have to work more on the main character. It should be more, it is neutral character.

good visual, anyway

That was great!

Great Job..... Very funny. The only problem I had was that it was verrrrrrry slow to open. Maybe that is why there are not enough people who are able to view it. Otherwise it really rocks!:applause:

Yes, the connection speed is rather bad and the file size is awfully big as well. However MPEG is the only file with a decent compression and no codec problems. I hope everyone will be patients enough to wait until the film is downloaded on to their hard disk. I recommend to "Right click" on the MPEG link and select "Save as". On the Mac I believe is is (Ctrl+Shift)... I don't remember.

Anyway, thank you for all your comments  . I'm thrilled that you guys like it! Will try to work on the environment and character allot more next time.

We first sketched out the forest and later made a 3D mock up of it. On this simple rendered still using Photoshop, I painted the colours and light on to it to bring out what we hope to re-create on 3D. Details, like flowers and mushrooms, were added later.

We put up a new link, hope this time the connection speed are much faster. :bounce:

Right-click and select "save as": NEW mpeg link (22mb) (

nice work:thumbsup:

Made me laugh even though i didn't know what they were saying, but i don't think you need to know cos the animation speaks for itself. Good job.
