View Full Version : Noob-friendly way to do hard edges?

Hi all, i recently working on a audi TT model and i nid help on generating hard edges without pinching or a messy model. Theres mainly 2 methods which i want to inquire about , one is the chamfering of all edges i want to harden , the other one is using tools like 'cut' , im to cut out those supporting edges needed to harden the original edge myself(as presented in grant warwick's hard modelling tut). So which one is more noob friendly in a rather dense mesh such as a car?

tight chamfers are considered the normal method of creating hard edges. You might also get a result putting crease to 100% for an edge in edit poly mode.
