i was wondering if anyone knows any windows emulators that'll run 3ds Max(windows version) on linux. if there is, will that make if more stable of faster because the OS is different?

from my own experience:
Windows within linux is sloooooow...
its very logic too... it emulates stuf
haven't tried (Im dont even dare to) running 3D Max, but my guess is that is NOT fast/stable, or even run at all

The only way you can run windows apps on linux, reliably, by emulating is via WINE, but it only supports 95/98, not any of the NOS (NT, 2k, xp) which 3dsmax needs. You can always run VMware for linux and install 2k on there which kinda defeats the purpose of using linux.. :p

why do you go and do that for?
I mean here you go trying to make linux more windows?
I mean he is already a gazillionaire afterall.
Ok back to the point.
