I really like the modeling and the texturing is pretty descent. the DoF effect is not right. it's not blurring the scene realistically and just looks plain WAY too strong. The specularity on the gold/brass parts look off and should be increased some to show reflection right OR the texture dirtied up a lot to if it is supposed to be old. Nice bug!

Wow looks great.

the older one seems better to me... probably the dof gives the picture a move, but the light is better in the newest

I agree with gpepper, the first seem better to me too!
Good work though man!

Very nice job, I just want to say I love the design of the Insect. Very cool, and simple. :)

Great detail, and awesome design :). Some friends and I built a little walking insect robot some years ago - it was actually quite basic - and we used nitinol wires (it's the only metal that contracts when heated) in the places where you have springs. I love the attention to detail that you put into it. The environment is also very fitting.

1st was WAY better man!!
The colors look so much better in that one. Why make it so dull!!
BTW, great model!

Very nice model...the dof in pic 1 looks more like motion blur to me.Pic 2 is better.
