I'm having a problem with splines in max 2011 x64
In the attached image the left green line is the default shape - a perfectly straight line with 2 bezier verts.
In the middle green image I've moved the top vert to the right. I would expect a shallow s-curve like the one in red but instead the spline remains straight.
Only when the top vert reaches the position in the green line on the right does the shape jump from straight to curved.
I want to use this spline to drive the spine of a character so I don't want to add any more verts along its length.
