View Full Version : Opcaity Map Issue

I'm having some issues with opcaity maps. I have the fire mapped into a cyl with an .mov animation of the fire in both the Diffuse and Opacity slots and I'm not getting 100% translucency. Ideas? I checked the map, the blacks are 100% black which would translate to 100% tranlucent...

Try turning down your specular and glosiness amounts.

You're sure the black values of your movie are all 0's? Try playing around with the "Value" parameter inside your movie bitmap texture.

yeah, everything is perfect black. More interesting is the Alpha channel is correct. It reads Zero over thoese gray areas. it wil work fine when I comp but why if the alpha is correct would the fill show this gray crap?
