This is a quick digital painting I did for Digital Illustration here at school. Had to re-interpret the jabberwocky poem from alice in wonderland.

Photoshop 7 and wacom.

Its basically done, I have a few things to change for printing for the portfolio review, but other than that, I'd call it done.

Please comment and critique.

Thanks.

I think the shadows need more contrast. Oh, don't stress too much about not getting comments. Happens to me all the time. Some pieces just don't get commented on because most people are here just too look and not give input, it seems. Anyhow. Get some reference images, look at works that you like try to see and absorb technique to use, and keep up the practice! :buttrock:

yeah andy, I agree about the shadows; they need some contrast. I do like the monochromatic look, but then again, I'm always doing monochromatic stuff myself, so I'm partial.

You're getting better everyday dude, keep at it!

OH! you should enter a printout into the OddGod competition/show. It fits the theme perfect; "Modern Romance; True Crime"... think chivalry=romance, and the lighting is VERY filmnoiristic, so there's your crimedycrime. They extended the deadline by about 3 days.

goodluck!
