View Full Version : Vray not rendering reflections in the eyes?

Not sure if anyone can help with this though it's a bit of an annoying problem :(

I render out my character and the vray lights show in the reflections in the eye. However, I move the camera ever so slightly and there light reflections are gone?! It's very hard to get them back unless I keep moving the camera to a position that suits it and they might come back.

Has anybody else encountered anything like this?

If your lights are small this is normal and would happen in the real world. You could cheat it with a much larger luminous poly behind the light and set it not to contribute to the light or go only reflections.

generally, I make a lot of white cards to catch light and get reflection detail. It's a studio photographer technique. just make a bunch of slivers of Lambertian white and scatter them around and turn off primary visibility and shadow.
