I think the painting looks pretty good. I'm not a matte painter, but my suggestions would be:
RIVER BENDS
The river and bends in the river seem a bit off. While rivers often have thicker and thinner parts to them, the ticker part is usually have way/through the end of the bend. The flow of the water as it turns the corner often wides the rivers. The painting above makes shows the erosion happening before the bends in many places, which to me gives the impression that the river is flowing up and down (left to right) defying gravity, instead of constant downhill.

RIVER FLOW
The waterfall halfway through the river looks like the river is moving fairly swiftly, but the glass water reflection makes it appear as if the river is barely moving. My suggestion is to either have the water trickle down the rocks or make the river appear to be moving more switfly, which would include more rapids throughout the river.

BOTTOM LEFT FLOWER
It appears the ground around the bottom left flower is under cloud cover. The trees are practically black, and it seems that the flower should also be. Currently your eye is being drawn strait to that flower because it is one of the highest contrast areas of the painting. While there may be elemetns inside of it that are glowing a bit, I think the lighter area would be a bit smaller and the majority of it would be subdued a bit more.
My 2 cents.
