View Full Version : looking for spline IK behaviour with fixed length, between two fixed points

Hey guys,

I'm currently wrestling with an issue here, I've been trying to make a chain of joint behave like an IKSpline with the chain maintaining it's length, but to have both and the start and end joints locked in place.

I'm working in maya, does anyone have any usefull tips, ideas, methods or videos I should look at?

Basically it's going to have very limited mobility but that's fine, the important thing is the length being maintained and the start and end joints not moving.
