Nemoid 11-01-2003, 02:18 PM what are your best plugs for modelling in Maya with polys?in particular i am interested to find the right way to model with box modelling technique in Mayawith polys wich I eventually convert in subpatch afterwards.

"Mirror Cut" in the bonus tools might be what ur looking for
you can cut a box down the Xaxis and edit one side and the other updates
then combine and clean up any unwelded verts
check it out

For subdivision modelling, check "Connect Polyshape" by dirk bialluch. A must for polymodellers in maya
You can then convert to subd, and from there to nurbs patches
