CGTalk - texture transition

Hi everyone

I have one problem, I have to make a transition between 2 different texture, but the transition needs to be very smooth. there is any way to make this transition automatic?

what I want is something like the image

Hmm cant think of an easy way...The way i would do it is to make one very large texture then use free transform to shrink one half, that should create a smooth transition.

I wonder if photoshop has a fall off for transform tools. Now that would be nice

the transition will be between this 2 images, I have changed a little the sizes of each one, the geometrical will be smaller than the organic, but it looks like i will have a lot of hand work
