Hey everybody, I've came to realize something today as how maya handle normal map at rendering..I saw that when you create a bump and connect a file only the outalpha is conencted, although I was always aware of that, I just realize that it make no sense for normal map as it should use all 3 chanel of color to handle the normal.
The difference as a rendering POV between bump and normal is quite non existant for what I'm doing but why use normal then at rendering since maya seems only capable of handling one channel?
How do you guys handle it, is there a special way to correct that probl and really use the 3 channels of the normal? and do you think it makes a real difference at rendering?.
