View Full Version : Animation: Marie lip-sync test

Hi all,

As part of the on-going learning process and the development of Marie, I have had my first attempt at trying some lip-sync animation. I am wondering if I needed to push the morph targets further or if I need some more/other expression or mouth targets. Plus if I do, I am not sure that I have the low-poly detail to really do all the animation. Its a pitty that there isn't a whole range of low-poly images showing Gollum in expressions and lip-sync movements. With luck the new 4 DVD set for "The Two Towers" will have a lot of stuff about Weta Digital and how it was al done :)

Any updates?

You only have movement in the eyes and lips.. when people talk and emote their whole face actually changes

i was going to say the jaw looks pretty stiff
head movement also...you have to make the head follow the conversation
