View Full Version : Skinning tutorias?
lyco84 07-19-2011, 05:59 PM Hello there!
Meanwhile I'm pretty comfortable to rigging. Now I'm going for skinning, but unfortunatly I couldn't find any sources of skinning tutorials. Could you give me some suggestions?
Thank you

Hey,
This one is really good if you are using Maya.

I took the Gnomon master class earlier this year, there was a course called "Digital Character Physiology" by Rick Grandy. He went through some advance theories about how to use compensation joints for shoulders and thighs. It was shown in Maya, but I think the theory does transfer to 3ds max.
I don't know if Gnomon will make that course into a DVD, but you can keep an eye out for it.
