Hey guys,

I've started rigging my M4 Sherman, however, I'm a little stuck on how to rig the suspension. Does anyone know how to do this? Or if not, does anyone know a great tutorial for rigging a tank fully? I really need help on this.

Thanks

Not sure what software you are using but here's a tutorial for 3DS Max:

You should be able to translate all the techniques from this tutorial to the software you desire.

Thank you for the link. I am going over it now, but it is a very basic non-detailed model. I have every piece of geo that a real M4 Sherman would have in it's suspension, so it's more complicated than just moving the wheels. All of the little arms for the torsion bar suspension have to move and pivot as they are attached to the wheels and chassis.

I am using Maya, that's why I'm having a hard time finding a tutorial for this. I have included a picture of my tank to give anyone who can help with an idea of what kind of geo is involved. If you've ever played World of Tanks, you'd know what kind of animation I'm looking to do.

Thanks for the help again.
