View Full Version : Fillet editable cube
FastKatt 10-31-2003, 02:33 AM I have a cube that I have made editable and I want fillet the edges. I've looked thorugh the docs a few times but can't seem to find out how to do it unless it's still a parametric object. I'm using C4D CE+. Is there away to fillet the editable cube or do I have to create a new cube and fillet it before editing?
Thanks!

make some knife cuts near the edges like i did in this pic and then throw the cube into a Hypernurbs object.

also if youre gonna be sticking with 6 for awhile and not upgrading then edge extrude would be worth looking into....i think that works with 6...but check first.

Just took a look inside this thread and want to as a little question. Normally i use cut if i like to cut some egdes but somehow it does not work all the time. If my mesh gets more complicated i can't use the cut anymore. I press k and draw the cut line but nothing happens. If i mark the polys and use Cutter it works. Is this something about angles and restrictions in the Cut tool? Or what. Just an annoying thing. Cutter always works good. Maybe sometimes i need to fix some polys but there is the Optimize tool.

Do you have the restrict to selection box checked in the tool manager?

Does this matter if i'm cutting in point mode? If i'm in poly mode like when using cutter right away than it seems clear to me but do i need to uncheck in point mode? Happens even if unchecked in poly mode! Does it matter what camera i use in my modeling view? Just recovered that it is quite depending on the camera angle. If it is not working i just rotate my view a little and voila i'm abled to cut.
Strange behavior!
