View Full Version : Rigging a Book with Pages

Hello Fellow CG Denizens!

I'm trying to rig a old leather book to open/close, with some pages that flip. I've tried a few methods involving simple joint systems and cluster operations, but nothing comes out the way I would like it to. I have problems getting the book to open up naturally. I try to use solid meshes for the bulk pages and single sheets for the ones that flip, but can't get the deformations right. Blah blah, I wonder if I'm making sense?

I guess what I'm just trying to ask is, is there a way, method or tutorial that can be bestowed of how to make this happen? I would greatly appreciate it so!

What software?

I'm using Maya. That tutorial for Max looks pretty sweet, but I'm not sure if these same methods apply. Thank you for the reply :(
