View Full Version : making realistic electronic effect in 3d studio max
nedgin 07-15-2011, 03:11 AM Hi,
I am beginner in to 3d studio max,
I am trying to make electronic effect using the software, but
i have no idea, how to make it
can anybody give me some tip?
the best way I can think is using spline, and add some pointer to it and give some noise animation... but It hard to react to other surface object...
if there is a plug-in to go easy around it, it would be even better,
thanks for your support

reacting to on the surface like that.
once again thanks.
p.s (only the part when the person is touching on it,)
I would probably start with animating noise on a spline and constraining it to the edge points, using spline IK. to get that jumpiness, you can try animating the seed value of the noise.

Ah, thanks for the support,
so the first thing I had in mine, was actually the most useful way... I see :)
so there isn't any plug-in or such right?
Hristo Velev also has this Thinking Particles tutorial for lightning:
