Looks interesting. I particularly like those cyan mushroom/jellyfish things - I hope they are hallucinogenic.

JamesMK

You know what, Stephan - I would like to see those walls (the taller ones to the extreme left and right side of the layout) broken up a bit. It's a bit too uniform and claustrophobic the way it is now. Maybe some holes in them or missing segments... something like that.

swag
11-26-2003, 02:51 PM
JamesMK - yes - claustrophobic is not bad i think but i play around with this in 3d and hope i find a way to break this uniform look - thanks for comment :)

Yeah, that concept rocks. Looks a bit psychedelic to me, and I'm sure it's gonna be a fat piece of cg art . The Materialtest looks great!

I have an idea to break uniformity, maybe u replace "rippled Tube" style in the foregrond, cuz the tower looks very nice, and bring a lil more of that "grown" structure to the foreground and maybe make it not straight, a lil more like roots, I guess it will solve your problem.

Keep rockin' man, you're looking good!:buttrock:

swag

the1st_angel thanks for the words :) i have to do some 3d ... hmmm i hope i can show something in the next days and then i can test some things for breaking the uniformity look

It'd look real cool if you added more large structures in the background, fading off into the distance to hint at a large city of some kind.

Hi Swag............I believe you should bring the main subject closer to the camera,at least a touch.Possibly create more exotic plant life with paint FX?I would not worry about alien structures for this praticular challenge.A more organic style habitat such as you have suits this challenge best in my opinion.

I think lot's of deformation in the terrain is a must along with some real nice rock formations of interesting patterns.Perhaps some very vibrant plantlife to give it that real "Out of this World" look.........

I'll keep an eye out for you, have fun and take care.Your old pal.

If I can say, this is europian perfection of art, simplicity and detail,
not competing, but perfecting the picture.
I love it, a very provocative piece of art.
Best luck to you:thumbsup:   :wavey:

those wires do a wonderfull job
it's a pity the red object inside them doesn't look that good there than it did in your testings where you were rendering it alone. the light doesnt seem to respond the same way in both those pics

thanks Segmoria - i render the BSSRDF in a seperate layer so the the wire structure get no glow i have to do this in post but hehehe the time was killing me
