View Full Version : mia_material 2012 reflection bug

here are a scene with 2 mia_materials same preset (water), one reflects the sun the other not.
It seems that MR4Maya respects reflections for certain materials but not all of them. I really hope that i did something wrong in this scene and that MR4Maya doesnt work like a slot machine.

It's a bug that sometimes happens when disconnecting a bump node from the mia_material.

To fix the material instead of remaking it, simply select the material, go to your Channel editor, and scroll down to "Standard Bump Z", you'll see that it has a value of 1 on your broken material, but a value of 0 on the working one. So just switch it back to 0 and that material will work again.
