Hi!! I've been looking around for ways to attach a light to a particle and I'm pretty confused on how to do it. I read you could do it with a script which I tried but couldn't get it working. Also those tutorials were pretty old. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere!!!
Thanks!

Two choices :) of course there are more but hey

First and least expensive, grab Bobo's scripting plow tutorial set from cg academy, it explains exactly how to do this. Plus you will get a he'll of a lot more out of it too.

Second get FinalRender it has a particle light object.

how about the one you learn very little and is free?

grabbed from boboland on scriptspot. BTW his dvd's are great.

on ChannelsUsed pCont do
(
pCont.useTM = true
pCont.useAge = true
)

on Init pCont do
(
global My_Athmospheric_Gizmos_01 = $SphereGizmo*
My_Athmospheric_Gizmos_01.pos = [0,0,-100000]
)

on Proceed pCont do
(
partcount = pCont.NumParticles()
count = amin #(partcount,My_Athmospheric_Gizmos_01.count)
for i in 1 to count do
(
pCont.particleIndex = i
My_Athmospheric_Gizmos_01[i].transform = pCont.ParticleTM
)
)

on Release pCont do

Ha, get out, was there for the first time last year since decade+, was nice to see it again. I spent a lot of time there when I was young, my uncles mom lives in Point Lookout :)
