View Full Version : Skin pose problem
finchiswaiting 10-30-2003, 02:52 AM I have a huge problem. WHen i create an object of any sort. To be able to move it i have to go up to character, choose set skin pose mode, then i have to go back up to character and choose assum skin pose mode, just to be able to move or rotate an object. But when i do this, it disables my ability to animate anything. How do i fix this so i dont have to constantly choose those to options just to move or rotate anything???
please help, i want to animate my car, but i cant because of this problem.
oh ya, i use max 5.1, in case this helps you help me any, hopefully :/

Why are you moving in and out of skin pose mode when you're animating? My first thought is - sounds like you aren't quite familiar with how the tool is meant to be used.

I think you need to check the manual on how the tool works... the skin pose isn't used for animating; it's used to set a base pose level so that you can skin.

but the only way i can move or rotate something is to check that option, or else the object just sits there.
