Lecture Faculty Position
10 month appointment - Beginning August 2002



The Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University is accepting applications for a lecture position in the specialty area of 3D animation for the Fall of 2002. A Master’s or equivalent degree is preferred, and a record of achievement in innovative research/creative work and professional experience is required. Professional skills include an in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge of contemporary animation/digital arts concepts and processes, as well as a highly-technical and artistic background. This may include both 2D and 3D computer graphics, and programming. Proficiency in a major 3D animation software application is required and experience with media forms such as video, CDROMs, websites, multimedia performance/installation, and digital visual effects is preferred. Willingness to work with industry, and the department in developing the program is essential.

The Computer Graphics Technology degree at Purdue is a multidisciplinary program that offers faculty the chance to work in a dynamic department that offers many opportunities for professional growth. Lecturers will teach undergraduate level courses in modern facilities, modify and develop new courses by integrating emerging computer graphics technology, and work with industry through applied research projects.
