I did a project in after effects where i used these settings for my
composition

PRESET : NTSC DV
720 by 480
PIXEL ASPECT RATIO : D1/DV NTSC(0.9)
FRAME ASPECT RATIO : 27:20
FRAMERATES : 29.97
RESOLUTION : FULL

now i need to update my working files in 720p and 1080p High Definition version.
kindly guide me to do the necessary parameters changes in my file.i am basically new to after effects and learning on my own. any help is appreciated.

you can just change the composition settings to the one that you need, create a null object, parent all the layers to it and scale it up until it fits.

of course some layers may require re-positioning and if you have a layer that it's original size is less than your composition size (and it is not a vector), you'll lose quality if you scale it up.
