Image plane quality

If you are refering to the quality of image-based textures being shown in the viewport then I would suggest going to the Viewport tab of the Configuration dialog and adjusting the settings for your video driver. I run the MAXTreme driver for my nVidia card and it allows me to set the resolution of the textures in the viewport to an obscenely high value... give it a shot.

Ok I took another look in the driver settings in max. Are you talking about the configure download texture size & background texture size options?

all those things have noticeable effects in max (u must restart max before seeing anything)...

btw, what are the nvidia Maxtreme drivers? does my Geforce FX 5600 256 MB supports that or that's only for quadros???
