Hey,
I'm kinda new to the whole composite stuff, but I really wanna learn it.
I saw Combustion at a friends house but I'm not sure what it's full potential is and how to use it...

I saw this movie on the web:
http://www.ruben.fm/hits/hits.mov
And I'm wondering how your could create this?

Also, where can I find good tutorials about this stuff?

Thanks,
Maarten

You can do similar things in any compositing package. This does not require special features or plugins.

Now your choice depends on how much money you want to put on it. The two best cheapest apps are AfterEffects and Combustion in my opinion. If I had to buy one I think I would choose Combustion just cause I really love its Flame like interface ! Moreover version 3 now has Re:Flex plugin integrated (morphing and warping).

Finally I don't think what you need is a tutorial about how to do similar thing as in this video. There is nothing difficult, all you have to know is the functionning of the compositing app and then you'll find out yourself how to work like this.
