My application was rejected by Bournrmouth citing that I don't hold a relevant Undergraduate Degree (Autmotive Engineering). Otherwise they would have been my first choice. I'm coming from South-east Asia and looking at a course which will provide me with a job at the earliest as I'll be taking a bank loan.

Abertay's MProf Games development is accredited and promoted widely by Skillset more than the other ones. The tuition fee is less too. So that is my first option. But the modules don't cover anything to do with animation or art and nor do they teach anything related. I have to work in one of the teams and render my services as an animator/artist. I took a two year career course in animation and am comfortable with 3ds Mzx and still training to get better in Maya. This course has very high employability quotient but I'll be a noob working with experienced people taking up this degree. So I'm pondering whether to go ahead with it or choose any other course(some of which are Skillset accredited too).

I'm pretty good in modelling and specialize in texturing; rigging and animation. I have no work experience though(Currently started working as texturing artist but will be quitting soon to leave for university). Also, should i go for generic courses or more specialized ones?

All those who have better knowledge please help me choose.

Thanks a lot :)

Why are you so keen in doing a course in the UK?

From my experience being a UK resident most of these Media type degrees aren't worth the paper they are written on..

Go to France http://schools.awn.com/?ltype=program&pcat=2&loc=France
That's if you want to spend all your hard earned cash.

The UK has a serious problem with worthless degree courses like "Water Sport Management" a degree in surfing and "Golf Management". Most of these very old Polytechnics now called Metro-Universities are money grabbing theives who know jack-s**t about CGI, animation and the lectures have a very little understanding of film-making.

My advice is don't bother coming to the UK to do a crappy Masters..You might learn more by staying at your job and doing some online course...

I looked at your showreel on u-tube..... take those awful drawings off. Your work my be technically OK but artistically it's stinks and that just goes to show you that these UK Unis are desperate for your money..

To the UK to come and collect a master's degree, as long as the standard of IELTS and appropriate undergraduate or professional backgrounds. Moreover, only one year in the UK Master time.

UK university graduate into two categories: one is taught graduate and the other is to study the style graduate.
As the name suggests, the former to the main school, which research-based.

Taught postgraduate courses subject to approval by more than listen, get homework, get the exam. Must write a final thesis. If the thesis of quality standards, then you can graduate and get a MA or MSc degree, Master of Arts or the equivalent of domestic science and engineering master's degree. <a href="<A href="http://www.edhardy0utlet.com/">ED">http://www.edhardy0utlet.com/">ED Hardy Clothes</a>

Research-only participate in graduate research methods courses teach the rest to themselves most of the time fixed for a study of the subject; before graduation are required to submit papers, paper space than the taught Master's thesis length much, the paper quality requirements than the taught course postgraduate thesis is much higher. Graduate study Master's degree is obtained after the MA or MSc, but the degree certificates shall indicate "RESEARCH" (research) words
