View Full Version : Can't Paste paths from Illustrator to PS 7

Hi y'all

I am having a problem with Photoshop 7 in conjunction with Illustrator 10. Part of my production routine is to draw up artwork as a vector path in Illustrator and then copy and paste that path into Photoshop. This so I can retain the path and save out as a clipping path from Photoshop. UP to PS 6 this wasnt a problem but now the option to paste paths is no more.

This is intensely frustrating, I wonder if any other users out there have encountered this problem....

I am using a Mac, G4 dual processor with 1 GB ram and 120 GB HD

Hi,

What you can do is export the files to .PSD.

To do this

On your illustrator go to file-> export as.. then you choose .psd and a window will pop up. 'Photoshop option' then select your color mode and make sure you put 300 ppi. Hope that helps.
