KingFurryWobblr 10-28-2003, 02:40 PM Hi,
I've been watching these boards for a good long time, i've now at long last had chance to put together my first website.
Its really low key and bare bones, but you get to the good stuff straight away :)
Its got some battlestar content as i worked with Eion (punisher and battlestar guy) hope you enjoy.

Here a little taste of whats on the site.
This was a model made in Maya, 15K polys, with 4x512x512 texture maps. Concept by Stu at Warthog games.

I'm checking out your site right now, and AWESOME!
Hey Jonesy, great to see your site updated (or rather recreated)!
The Battlestar stuff you made is amazingly detailed and all for realtime use too ;)
Hope all is well over in Raleigh. Keep in touch!

wow, looks really nice. but, I really thought your texturing on the battlestar is even better on your website. :). I see you work at scionstudios, in NC. I was wondering what life is like there? I was going to apply, if they had any openings in a few months. for enviromental modeler, after my contract is up in Jacksonville, NC.

sweet stuff bro! it's about time you joined the online world and showed off some of your stuff! my only crit for the site is it would be nice to see some of the textures flat and maybe some greyshaded/wire views of the models. other than that top stuff! i've got major respect for your skills! laters!

thanks for the good words, always good to hear what other people think.
Hopefully i'll have some new stuff to show soon ;)
he he!
Great stuff man!
Detail is A1, although the render above and also the ones on your site don't show ANY of the lovely work you put in. Where are those very cinematic renders you did? tut tut, sort it out!
Also loose those very tacky frames around the battlestar stuff, its killing the lovely ships!
come on Jones'y I expect way more polished presentation that this "Mr. Bloom"! :)
excellent work 5 star general!

ok, ok, fair cop, below is some links to rather large images that i first created. Besides, i'm a very hard working man at the mo, i dont have time to tart up old stuff!!! ;)
Anyway, you get to see some of the goodness and hard work that went into the battlestar spaceships :)

hehe, my profile doesn't give much away, does it Jonesy? hehe
Put it this way, I worked on a Gladiator that you textured. I did some "dirtying up and damaged texture work" on some of your Star Trek stuff.
I worked with Hom and Matt on the Starlancer briefings.
Does that help? hehe
I really should get a site together..... one of these days.....

To be honest, there's not much I'd like to show really.
As always, I've generally been working with other people's assets for the main part. On HP, I was mainly a "Jim'll Fix It" kinda guy without any chance to do any stuff of my own from scratch.
After HP, I've been weighting and rigging other people's stuff for the majority of the time. When I do get given something to model and texture, I tend to get dragged off onto another task.
I would say that the majority of the last 2 years has been like that.
I haven't been dabbling with anything in my own time either. You know how it is when ya get home from work and ya have a wifey waiting.
Still, having said all that, I DO intend to get some work together and bung them on a site. It might spur me on to do more stuff of my own.
I've only recently started revisiting CGTalk again, although not very often. I hope that seeing some of the excellent work posted on here does fire me up a little. I feel an interest in cg growing inside me aqain, after a long spell of disinterest.
Seeing the postings of work from guys I know is, in a way, making me realise how little effort I have put into getting some of my own stuff together.
Hmmm...I'm waffling on a bit here, aren't I? Maybe I should have just emailed u personally. Haha
Anyway, it was good to see your work posted. I look forward to some more stuff from u in the future.
