hi there

i havent used max since about a year ago, but i'm planning on starting to use it again now. so i was wondering if anyone could tell me if maxscript has gotten any faster with release 6.0 ? i've been using maya and mel for feature film production the last couple of months, and i really like mel, and the speed of it :)
would i be better of writing c++ plugs for max?

Naturally, you're always going to get more speed out of compiled code. But Maxscript's speed hinges largely on what you try to do with it. It's not too fast when dealing with very large arrays of things, or processing thousands of objects at a time. To answer your question, though, I don't think that Maxscript has gone through any speed improvements since a year ago; it's largely the same bag.
