Good sculpting.
But as a guitarrist I have to say every lefthanded player has to use a fitting guitar. And thats the thing which is irritating me in the rendering.
No one plays a contraversal thing! It never plays the octaves clean, whatever you rebuilded.

I used maya hair with no plugins. Below is the overall workfolw. Thanks!

1. created hair with dynamic option, and simulated the hair by using time slide bar till getting good start point.
2. reshaped the hair follicles until getting nice hair flow by using moving tool and rotating tool.
3. played around with hair system options to modify volume, curl and color etc.
4. checked the hair with rendering images, and continuously tweaked the hair follicles until getting the result I satisfied.

BUT the guitar head needs some more material work. The natural bright wood should have more structure it looks a bit like plastic. Same with the tuner which are polished chrome on Fender Strats (usually), they dont look shiny and reflective enough (i know their position is a bit bad for reflecting anything but they just look like plastic too). It looks kinda weird without a strap. Already mentioned: the guitar actually intersects with his arm. What also would be 2 small touches were, actually adding fret marks and very important a brand on the guitar (just make up one...like Gunsliker Guitars or something, the brand is just a strong identification with a certain guitar player and shouldn't be missing.
Other than that i really love it.

This looks great! The only thing I could say would improve the realism is if you would add a guitar strap. It's pretty difficult to hold a guitar like that with no guitar strap. But other than that, it looks fantastic!

This is really amazing! no doubt! but if I have to give some constructual feedback; I think the lips looks a bit too lipglossy (pink-ish), and it looks like the guitar is going through the left forearm.

Wow, very soulfoul, the sculpting and modeling are top notch, congrats.

Things that stood out for me:

There is no strap holding the guitar, playing without any support on the guitar's body would make it quite difficult to play (especially if it's made of heavy wood like mine)

The finish on the guitar's body could have more shine (if you drop by a music store and check out a few fenders / generic ones, you'll see how glossy the lacquer is). Of course a matte finish like you did is possible on a custom or re-finish job.

The pickup switch is missing...as well as the dots on the fretboard, but that's up to the player i suppose.

Agree with this. It looks fantastic :) but why stop the level of detail on the guitar. Missing switch, fret board dots and the string trees which pull the strings down over the nut are missing as well. Not a big deal though. great job.

Excellent, I hadn't noticed the 'flipped' stringing.

This is a lovely modelling/facial pose exercise, but the hair looks too 'mechanical' with those ultra-thin recurring patterns of hair.
