Nick Unden 10-28-2003, 02:07 AM Hello,
I thought it was about time a created a female character. Let me know what you think...
The second image is an image of Haphazard trying to make a rescue!

nice, characterful modelling job there. it seems to fit Haphazard's style well.
in the rescue pic, what's the line on the bridge of her nose?
also, what does she look like with a different colored shirt/pants? right now, to me, the color of her clothes and Haphazard's leotard ( :p ) seem to be too similar. if she's resisting his help, maybe make her colors contrast a bit for a "subliminal conflict" effect.

I'm suprised you don't have more comments. I really like the look of the girl. I normally don't like stylized/cartoony stuff, but i really like your work. Great work.

thanks for the replies...
markoid - thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you like it.
SKippyMcHaggis - you make a good point... I hadn't really thought of putting the two characters together. I would have chosen a different shirt colour. Too much blue, so I decided to make a change. I fixed her brow as well. It looked weird.
Shaykai - I'm glad you like more style, thanks.
astro-sanchez - Thanks!

I dont normally like a cartoony look 3d model but in this one the expressions of the girl really attracted me.The way she behaved also quite interesting.
All I can say good Job!

really great job, love the character, now for the crit his face looks like its got a more detailed texture on it, or at least shinier, kinda makes her seem more cartoony then him, if that made any sense, but once again great job

wow.
not to imply the first one was bad, but the second version of the Haphazard shot is great. the change in color really helps it "pop" for me. it's amazing that just changing the shirt color makes even the difference in pants color that much more noticable. it also brings out her eye color.
i'll agree with Beechdbum about the difference in their skin reflectivity. or it might be that Haphazard's skin seems to translucent (due to the colors)? Isabella's skin is fairly cartoonish and Haphazard's is a bit more realistic.

That's some pretty uninspiring stuff. Geez, where did you get the idea?:thumbsdow
It's modelled well and lighted decently
Your comments were not only unconstructive, but downright rude. In the future, please remember to keep your replies helpful and courteous.

Well I'm sorry you don't find it 'inspiring'. What do you mean where did I get the idea?

don't worry about it, Nick.
i think we're forgetting that good criticism is vague, unfocused, intentionally demeaning, and completely worthless in improving the final product.
but then it might just be that superheroes aren't his thing.

Just getting into this thing right at this point! Superheros aren't always cool to everybody but this one is definatly cool. And this female char rocks for real. Color change made the image better.
Said something bout a walk cycle? When Where? :)))

Congrats for the model! In fact, this is exactly the kind of style that I`m working on right now... do you have a wire to show? :D
The walk cycle is okay so far, but the hands are still a little too stiff. They need to move/shake a little, in this version they look like attached wooden gloves or something... Please show the updates on this one!
