Did you UV map your character after you skinned it? If so, that may be the problem. This happened to me when I UV mapped a character that already had blend shapes, and when I morphed to the other targe shape, the UVs went haywire.

hey ! i had the same problem, and it took me like 1 month to have an answer !
the Technical problem, i dont know it, but i know the solution to get rid of that,
but you'll need to be patient, cause you'll need to re-start your Skinning all over again.
but your character is not to complicated, so it wont take you time, mine was crazy cause i had many things (objects linked ).

ok, if i remember...and by the way, after doing this, save your thing to another name,
like ???_01.mb, or ???_02.mb

ok,you just need to select your master bone ( pelvis in general ( parent bone))
and then you delete your history, go to "Edit" menu, then "Delete by type", and then "History".
and after that, you do your skinning again, so that's it !
hope it will work well !

Hoh and by the way, if it does not work, try deleting the history of your parent modeling ( parent object (pelvis area )) instead of the bone.

It's been a while since i did this so that's why i didn't remember !

Ya i fixed the problem, but it was so long ago i dont remember what i did. i think i had an earlier version of the file saved and i went back a few steps and started over. i finished a short animation with that character if you want to see it.
