nice work...only comment would be interior of the beak/mouth looks a little procedural...and the specular on the eye needs looking at...

interesting pretty good, but the whole texturing scheme seems pretty flat, there is no spec in the mouth which of course is gonna have to be kinda wet looking ( i mean come on its a mouth).
its mainly spec thats messing this pic up.

Very nice. Very convincing. One little crit. on the eye. It looks like the highlite was airbrushed on, making it look like it's suffering from cataracts.
I'd have to agree with JIII about the specular highlights.
Except for that, high marks all around.

do a search on eyes there has been some great threads...about sla eyes...pixar eyes...also in resources thread might give you ideas for specular settings etc.

It seems you have a passion for birds Ray. Good work. Here
some critique, the beak is to reflective. Try to get the gloss
with specularity. The eyes are not up to the model. They need
more gloss. Try a very high specularity and make the spec-width
very small. This gives you a more wet look.
