View Full Version : General mirroring workflows

This still gets me thinking if I'm doing it the best way..

What's the most efficient way to work when it comes to things that has to be mirrored? My question is very generic and would appreciate general tips as well as specifics, anything that can help when it comes to this subject. :) Scripts, workflows etc etc.

I can't think of specifics right now but we'll probably get there if the topic kicks off..

I tried the matchbox script (http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downloads/scripts-plugins/character/c/matchbox) a while back (also here (http://art.southern.edu/animation/matchbox/)). It was pretty good at fitting a mirroring system to any rig. However, I think a better workflow is to have that functionality already built in. For example the free animation studios advanced skeleton (http://www.facebook.com/pages/AdvancedSkeleton/114793298585853) rig has this, if you want to see it in action.
