Well, I am now a Motion Builder animator and my MotionBuilder knowledge is limited, the next few weeks are purely getting accustomed to MoBu and the new rig. So I´m sure this thread will grow with questions I can´t find the answers to.

For starters, in the Fcurves can I set a curve to permanently loop forever?

Right-click > Extrapolation :)

I´m finding MoBu doesn´t save the settings for loop or constant. Is that just something in 2011? my computer? or a setting I have to turn on?

If there`s something Mobu won`t do, then it`s probably just Mobu ;)

but srsly - I don`t know this particular thing, tho I don`t recall any settings for that.

There were some bugs that never got fixed/stuff would not save in to the file and it could just be 2011.
This is one of those bugs, you will have to cycle by hand/copy paste or bake in to a new animation layer that you can then just fade off/on as needed.

As far as animating in Mobu, I have links on my masterclass blog to lots of free videos/pdfs on animating in Motionbuilder that should help you out.
