don't know if this is an issue for anyone but a note for the record could be useful. Max's IGame sdk game exporter wrapper will crash on export (well mine did anyway) if an editable polys uv's are split across an invisible edge, which can be caused by detaching/attaching tri faces in mesh edit mode. Obviously it could be just my exporter and my crap coding :)
