Hey, this is kinda of a newbie'ish question but how do I render out a frame with the wireframe showing on the model. I want it to look like the "Wireframe on Shaded" mode when I render it. I know I could apply a UV map that shows the wireframe but I would like to know if there is a setting or a plugin that will let me render in this way. Thank You.

first .. its better to name your qustion as "wireframe rendering"

second .. please search at cgtalk & highend on "wireframe" and am sure u'll find what u need.

third .. its important to say which version on maya u r working on if u r asking about any plugin .

personaly I use hardware render to get wireframes.

As mentioned there is manu plugins for that, go to highend3d.com and search in the Maya Plugins , you'd find what you want.
If you're lazy like me ;) just use Playblast and you'd get a nice wireframe on shaded from the viewports. Bu you need to play a little bit with colors in post process.
Good luck.
