Things might change a little during my modeling phase. I am open to new ideas if anyone has any.

I think one of the main things I can see is that your final only sliightly resembples your concept, which is a pity because your concept had some nice shapes in it...

I would suggest going back to your model,and adding some details...
Also work out your composition a little bit...right now the image is a little bit too 'FOREGROUND-BACKFROUND' with no middel ground...nothing 2 really push your eye backwards.

Your image is also devoid of any detail in the sky...perhaps some aliend sky scrapers, or 'docking ports' of your drone things...

Your building textures look all 2 similar (or rather-they all look the same!). Add in some variation...
