Dell has a new wotkstation classs laptop (precision m6600) with a screen option that supports multitouch plus pen input according to dell's uk site. Can anyone confirm if this pen is a wacom penabled digitizer? Thx

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the screen has only a traditional hinge so it can't fold around flat over the keyboard facing the user (like other tablet notebooks). So even if it does have a pressure and tilt sensitive pen it would be uncomfortable to work with. Personally I'd look for a good notebook regardless of tablet integration and then buy a Intuos tablet similar in size to the notebook, then just throw both in the same bag.

That's correct, but I still would prefer this screen option instead of carrying around an additional tablet. Anyway, guess I should wait for some reviews to shed light on this.

If a screen was solidly mounted then it could work (like an easel or a chalk board). Though with a hinge if you press to hard then the screen folds over more. Fine for stuff like controlling media and clicking links while browsing, but that's probably about it. I think you're barking up the wrong tree, good luck.

If the hinge allows for a 180 degree opening it "might be" usable, not very ergonomic but...
